This page explains what happens to your data when you use the web converter on this site and any of the browser extensions it describes:

  • ChatGPT to Word or PDF, ChatGPT to PDF, Google Docs or Word and Convert ChatGPT to Google Doc, Microsoft Word, PDF (run on chatgpt.com)
  • Claude to PDF, Word and Google Docs (runs on claude.ai)
  • AI Chat to Word, PDF & Google Docs for Gemini (runs on gemini.google.com, Google Search's AI Mode pages and Google AI Studio)

The extensions share one design, so the same rules apply to all of them unless a section says otherwise.

Web converter

  • You paste a public Claude share link. The converter only accepts https://claude.ai/share/… links.
  • Our conversion service loads that public page in a headless browser, extracts the conversation, and sends print-ready HTML back to your browser.
  • The PDF is created by your own browser's print dialog. We don't store the conversation, the link or the generated file, and we don't keep logs of them.

Browser extensions

What they read. Each extension runs only on the chat site named above and reads the conversation, response, selected messages, Canvas, Deep Research report or artifact you choose when you click an export button. It doesn't read other tabs or sites.

Where files are made.

  • PDF, Word and Google Docs exports: the extension sends the content you're exporting to our conversion service, which returns the finished file. The service doesn't store your content or keep logs of it. PDF and Word files are then saved to your downloads folder.
  • Markdown: the Claude extension creates Markdown files in your browser. The Gemini extension sends Markdown exports through the conversion service like its other formats. The ChatGPT extensions don't offer Markdown.
  • Google Docs export asks for Google permission limited to files the extension creates (drive.file), then uploads the converted document to your Google Drive and opens it. The extension can't see other files in your Drive.

Email address and plans. Each extension reads the email address of the Google account signed in to your browser. It's used to count exports against the free plan's monthly limit, to check paid licences, and (for the Claude extension) to send a one-time welcome email. It isn't used for marketing or product-update emails.

Payments. Paid plans are bought through a third-party checkout. We never see your card details; the checkout provider tells us only that a licence was purchased for your email address.

Usage events. The extensions record events such as which format you exported, whether the export succeeded, counts of elements like tables or equations, your browser and interface language, together with your email address and a random installation ID. These events don't include the text of your conversations.

What we don't do. No extension sells personal data, injects advertising, or reads your browsing outside the chat site it runs on.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It doesn't carry advertising, and we don't sell personal data. If you use a browser extension or setting that blocks analytics, the site works exactly the same.
